TEA CHRONICLE:
The history ascribes the creation of the tea plant to Dhruma or Bodhi Dharma, the founder of the Zen sect of Buddhism. In course of his meditation near Nanking in china, the saint fell asleep.
On waking up, the sage became angry with himself as he entered into deep sleep instead of meditating. His angry had gone to a higher level to punish himself by cutting his eyelids off.
TEA’S BIRTH:
A strange plant came into sight at the place where the eyelids fell. The leaves of the plant while boiling gave a brew that could banish sleep. Thus the tea plant was born and the tea beverage came into being.
It is not merely a story to us, but now a real experience, a sense of briskness the tea triggers into our body and mind; of course every sip of it does the job wonderfully.
TEA’S ASIATIC ORIGIN:
The tea plant has been cultivated from so long that its home as a wild plant is a matter of speculation. Certainly in south East China, tea has been used as a beverage for between two and three thousand years, and nobody has ever claimed to have found wild tea China proper. Claims were made that wild tea has been discovered in Nepal and Manipal.
